Communities: Part II
Continued adventures through internet communities…time for 4chan!
What an interesting world of anonymity, porn, and website invasions…why is it that so many memes evolve from here?
Epic win!
It’s only been a couple of weeks, but our bear video has certainly grown!
Even on a smaller scale than was probably ideal, we’ve seen how a video can evolve just through people we know sending it to people THEY know. I guess that’s how one finds things on youtube, it’s generally pretty unlikely that you’ll simply STUMBLE upon something really cool.
Like I said, a most epic win.
P.S. Apparently, we’re #66 this morning on the list of most watched comedy videos on youtube in Australia. Great success!
A very amusing turn of events.
We used Reb’s brother Evan’s Youtube account to upload the original bear video - we did this because he’s uploaded quite a few, some of which have had heaps of views. Thought it’d be easier to get an initial reaction that way. Similarly, we used our poster boy Mitch’s account for the keyboard cat remix.
Anyway!
The vast majority of the comments we’ve been getting have been along the lines of either “LOL BEAR” or “THATS SO FAKE!!!!!11!1one!!”
In fact, there’s been so many of these comments that Ev’s taken it upon himself to put a disclaimer in the “description” of the video.
Poor Ev…
Chronicling the adventures of our bear video.
It’s a most epic win.

GREAT SUCCESS!!

Massive bear fail.
Keyboard cat knows what to do!
Here’s a really cool article on “internet vigilantes”…while they’re certainly not all the doing of Anonymous, a fair chunk of them are. So it’s a great place to start for those of you that want to find out a bit more.
